A clear stream flows downhill, over rocks smoothed by the years by water tumbling through, and it becomes the beautiful, cascading waterfall we know as Goddess Waterfall. Nestled beside Goddess Waterfall is Faerie House, a charming cottage, decorated in jewel tones of wine red, tangerine and blue. Faerie House is a completely self-sufficient vacation accomodation; a clean, comfortable place to retreat.

The 74 acres of surrounding forest are alive with pine, maple, poplar, and birch trees working in tandem with communities of bird life, plant life, mineral life, and animal life to create a safe and restful place, like a warm den in the Earth, where guests have an opportunity to slow down, relax and reconnect with Nature. This is Gaia’s Den.

Float in the current of the stream, bask in its still pools, or explore a secret sitting place behind the falling waters.

Walk in the forest and identify wild flowers, mosses and ferns. Suntan on the warm, smooth boulders that line the stream. Watch the play of chipmunks, squirrels, deer, chickadees, finches, and more.

Read a good book while lounging on the outdoor deck next to Goddess Waterfall.

Enjoy breakfast or a picnic lunch at the picnic table beneath the shade of the trees. Grill supper on the propane barbecue or toast marshmallows at the firepit.

Relax inside the screened sun porch to the sound of the rushing water.

For those who prefer more activity, hop in the car, and a five minute drive will take you to Sacred Haven’s lake and sandy beach where the swimming is refreshing and paddling a canoe is delightful, especially when the water is still and looks like a mirror. Bring a book and a picnic lunch, suntan on the raft, canoe along the rugged shoreline and around the three private islands, walk along the road and pick wild raspberries, or play a game of tennis.
